Founder of Rochester’s ‘My Brother’s Keeper’ and ‘Pillars of Hope’ initiatives has died

The City of Rochester is mourning the loss of a former city employee.

The city says Donald Starver has died. Starver founded Rochester’s My Brother’s Keeper and Pillars of Hope initiatives.

He also served as the city’s Deputy Director of Communications and Special Events from 2014 to 2017.

There is no word yet on the cause of Starver’s death.
