New York will allow outdoor, socially distant graduations of up to 150 people beginning June 26, according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The governor made the announcement during his daily briefing on Sunday. The announcement comes as New York reports its lowest amount of new positive COVID-19 tests since March 16. Cuomo says that there were only 781 positive tests out of 60,435 administered on Saturday.

The amount of lives lost rose slightly to 45 as hospitalizations continued to fall, Cuomo said.

Cuomo used the briefing as an opportunity to further highlight New York’s reform agenda amid protests over police brutality nationwide and called for larger federal reform to address education equity, child poverty, and affordable housing.

He advised all protesters attending demonstrations across the state to assume that they have now been exposed to COVID-19 and to get tested as soon as possible, announcing 15 new testing sites in NYC.
