After peaceful protests against racial injustice ended on Saturday afternoon in Rochester, another group of vandals began to set fires, destroy property, and begin looting.

After a night of chaos and violence, 13 people were arrested for allegedly causing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damage. Rochester Police Chief La’Ron Singletary said there would be more arrests as his department’s investigations continued.

Rochester Police investigators are working to find some of these people and are using surveillance photos and video from the area to ask people to identify them.

These people are accused of setting fire to city-owned vehicles on fire, destroying city-owned property, and burning down a construction trailer.

Anyone with information about these people should call the Rochester Police Department at 311 or Crime Stoppers at 423-9300.
