The Rochester City School District says it is putting support systems in place for students and families impacted by Saturday’s destruction and violence starting Monday.

The announcement was made by new RCSD Superintendent Lesli Myers-Small Ed.D.

We’ve watched as across the nation protests and rallies, unfortunately, in some cases, have turned to violence.” Myers-Small said. “We saw that happen in our own community in Rochester. The rally started peacefully.”

For resources, visit the district’s website or call the RCSD Support Hotline at 585-262-8700.

Members of the support services team will also be present at the district’s meal distribution sites this week.
